Ben has always been fascinated with people and has led an active lifestyle from a young age, so it only made sense that he’d go down the road of personal training. He began his fitness career in Wellington, New Zealand, during a five-year stint of backpacking around the world. During this time, he learned from the top trainers at his club, studied everything available to him on various forms of training, and worked alongside physiotherapists to learn more about injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques. He was even fortunate enough to watch the All Blacks train with their strength and conditioning coaches whenever they were in town and trained at the club.
From there Ben continued self-educating, learned from mentors he sought out in the fitness industry, and gained more accreditations along the way until he was eventually able to form his own style of training with clients, incorporating everything he’d learned and making it uniquely his own. To use a quote from Bruce Lee:
“Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is specifically your own.”
Now you can find Ben in Canary Wharf, London working with a predominantly office-based clientele. Having clients who work long hours in the high-stress environment of finance doesn’t come without its difficulties. But Ben brings an open-minded approach to his client’s training, understanding they are all different. In a constantly evolving industry, Ben believes simple methods, consistency, plus hard work are the keys to helping others achieve their goals and unlock their potential.
